What is Occupy?

OccupyWallSt began on September 17 in NYC to stand up against the financial inequality and unchecked corruption and greed that make the average citizen's life a struggle. They saw a need for change that is too big to come from the empty rhetoric of politicians, and narrow-minded interests of corporations... and too big to fail. Since then, people from around the nation have gathered in their own towns to show solidarity with OWS. We join in their effort to wake up the populace and let our leaders know we will no longer tolerate being treated as machines to make them rich. We are the 99% of the people that will not be ruled by the wealthy, powerful 1% any longer. You are too. Join us.
